About this Event

Having its roots from sixth century Japan, Shojin Ryori (Japanese Devotional Cuisine) is a plant-based meal traditionally eaten by Japanese Buddhist monks.

Consumed by the monks as part of their spiritual practice, Shojin Ryori is believed to aid in the attaining of enlightenment. Due to this heritage, every dish is made without animal products.

Our Zen Luncheon includes 5 distinct courses which features:

Edamame Tofu w. wasabi sauce, black fungi, chrysanthemum flower and goji berry

Tofu Dengaku w. yuzu miso, vegetable kinuta roll, fried black bean and yamamomo

Bareishi Manju w. sobanomi sauce, spring onion, rice puff and dried chilli

Vege Sushi and Miso Soup w. baby corn, avocado, grilled red capsicum, renkon kimpira and nasu dengaku roll

Soy Milk Pudding w. brown sugar syrup, sweet black beans and gold flakes
